Shiva Keshavan's strength is resilience under constraint. The first Indian ever to qualify for Olympic luge, he went on to compete at six Winter Olympic Games in a discipline his country had no track for, no funding structure behind and no pathway into. Equipment, training facilities, sponsorship and access to international competition all had to be solved before any racing could begin — and he solved them, repeatedly, across two decades, becoming the first winter-sport athlete his nation honoured for it. That experience makes him an exceptional reader of systems. He knows precisely where athletes are failed, because he navigated every one of those gaps himself: the equipment that has to be improvised, the safeguarding assumed rather than provided, the advocacy that exists only if the athlete supplies it. Arohan's work on high performance, sport technology, emerging-sport development and athlete voice is shaped by that perspective, and by a working knowledge of how much can be achieved with very little — a rarer and more useful capability than it sounds. His larger contribution has been visibility. He proved that international excellence is possible in a discipline with almost no domestic infrastructure, and in doing so opened a pathway that had not previously existed for Indian athletes in winter sport. One career shifted the national conversation towards facilities, athlete support and long-term development — evidence that a single athlete, competing well enough for long enough, can create standing for an entire discipline. Since competing he has worked in coaching, high performance, athlete representation and advocacy. At Arohan he shares stewardship of the Foundation's direction and keeps the athlete's interest at the centre of it, holding to a standard as much as a skill set: that athletes should be able to pursue excellence with dignity, safety, opportunity and genuine institutional support — and that building those conditions is the work itself, not a by-product of it.

Varun Tripuraneni's strength is building sporting institutions that survive. He has built clubs from the ground up, run professional franchises, and carried ownership responsibility at the top of the domestic game — which means he understands sport at every level of its structure, from volunteer economics to league governance and championship-winning organisations. He has the operator's instinct for what makes an idea hold once it meets reality: a model that funds itself, partnerships that endure past the announcement, and delivery that scales without losing its purpose. His focus is turning strategy into structure — programme architecture that can be replicated, commercial models built to last, and governance that stands up to scrutiny. At Arohan he supports the Foundation's leadership and carries much of its outward-facing work, connecting its programmes to industry, institutions, investors and the wider sporting ecosystem they are designed to serve. His concern is that every initiative remains commercially serious as well as socially valuable — that ambition is matched by the means to sustain it.

Aarthie Ramaswamy's strength is the trained mind. A World Youth champion, a National Women's Champion and a Woman Grandmaster, she competed at world level and then turned to the harder question of how that capability is developed in others — strategic thinking, decision-making under pressure, concentration, composure and the willingness to think independently when the obvious move is available. She has worked on every side of the board since: as trainer, educator, manager and promoter, and in the organisation of competitive chess itself. That range matters, because developing a player is not only technical instruction. It is tournament exposure, preparation, the management of competitive pressure and a progression planned over years — and having lived all of it as a competitor, she teaches it as practice rather than theory. India now stands among the strongest chess nations in the world, and that position rests as much on trainers, mentors and academies as on the champions they produce. She has spent nearly two decades on that side of the game, building the environment in which young players learn, compete and turn professional, and carrying the financial and operational responsibility that keeps such an institution standing. At Arohan she holds responsibility for the Foundation's financial stewardship, transparency and sustainable growth, applying that same long-horizon discipline, and her expertise anchors its work in mind sports, chess education, cognitive gaming and learning through structured play. Her presence reflects a view the Foundation holds firmly: that intellectual development, creativity and emotional resilience are core dimensions of human performance rather than adjacent ones, and that excellence is multidimensional — shaped as much by curiosity, character and independent thought as by talent and results.

Deepak Thimmappa's strength is building innovation ecosystems — the institutional machinery through which governments, enterprises, universities and global partners convert intent into measurable economic, technological and social outcomes. Centres of Excellence, research and innovation platforms, public–private partnership models, international technology collaboration and startup ecosystems are the forms that work takes, and his instinct is always for the structure that will still be standing once the launch has been forgotten. His expertise maps directly onto the Foundation's verticals. In creative technology: animation, visual effects and gaming, extended reality, immersive media and the wider digital creative economy. In artificial intelligence and deep technology: advanced materials, biotechnology, digital public infrastructure, advanced computing and the commercialisation of research. In space and advanced engineering: the passage from laboratory capability to manufacturable, field-ready systems. Two further strands run across all of them — sustainability, from circular economy and resource recovery to climate innovation, water, waste and carbon management and the green transition; and digital trust, spanning cybersecurity strategy, information security governance, risk and compliance, and data privacy. He is equally fluent in the enabling layer that decides whether any of it happens: public policy and strategic advisory, public–private partnership design, government funding strategy, CSR and social impact, and international collaboration. Ambitious technical programmes rarely fail for want of technology; they fail for want of the structures that fund, govern and sustain them. That breadth is a conviction rather than a collection. He holds that the next generation of institutions will not be built around a single technology or discipline, but by integrating multiple verticals into one ecosystem that delivers lasting economic, environmental and social impact — the principle on which Arohan itself is organised. At the Foundation he carries responsibility for how its programmes are built and delivered across those verticals, converting commitments into functioning operations and holding the work to a global benchmark: institutions that accelerate innovation, strengthen governance and outlast the problems they were created to solve.
